Legislation and best practice relating to children and young people's mental health

Unit 3

Living with childhood mental health conditions 

Unit 4

Understand how to minimise the risk of mental health concerns in children and young people

Unit 5

Understand the causes and diagnosis of mental health concerns in children and young people

Upon completion, you will have developed a comprehensive understanding of children's and young people's mental health.

You will have gained knowledge and understanding of supporting the mental health and well-being of children and young people, equipping you with the skills & confidence to make a positive difference in the lives of those you work with.

This qualification opens the door to numerous career opportunities in the educational and support sectors and provides a pathway for further education and professional development in the field. 

1. You must currently live in a Non-Devolved Area of England or the Great London Area (GLA). If you live in GLA you must evidence you have permission to remain here for the next 365 days. For the rest of the country, you must have been resident in the UK/EEA for 3+ years, for purposes other than study.
2. You must be over the age of 19 or older (on 31 August 2024) and be able to fully commit to this course.
3. You must have the relevant ID to register for this course. (passport, visa/permit, birth certificate or driving licence and proof of address within the last 3 months)
4. You must not have done this qualification at the same or higher level previously.

The course is delivered remotely and you will need a laptop or computer to be able to access and study on this course.
