The Prevent Duty

As part of our safeguarding responsibilities, LMP is committed to supporting the Prevent Duty, which forms part of the UK Government’s counter-terrorism strategy. Prevent aims to safeguard individuals from being drawn into terrorism, extremism or radicalisation and encourages early intervention where concerns are identified.

We work with learners, employers and partners to raise awareness of potential risks and promote safe, inclusive learning environments where diverse views can be discussed respectfully. Further information can be found in our Prevent and Radicalisation Policy and through official government guidance on the Prevent Duty.

Our Safeguarding and Prevent policies are reviewed regularly to ensure they reflect current legislation, best practice and the needs of those we support.
