By completing this course, you will gain a nationally recognised qualification and HLTA status, which can significantly enhance your career prospects and personal development.
This course enables you to provide higher level support to SEND pupils, aid in planning lessons, play a role in producing support materials, lead a class under supervision and take responsibility for other support staff.
It also leads to further career progression opportunities within the education sector.
Because of this increased level of responsibility, HLTAs can expect to be paid a slightly higher salary than a TA.

Safe and SEND: learn about safe de-escalation methods
SEND developmental milestones and strategies: cover the milestone differences in child development and the differences in children with special educational needs and disabilities
Curriculum and SEND: assistive technologies to support children with SEND
Innovative assessment: explore different assessment methods and potential exemptions for children with SEND

You will also have the opportunity to complete optional CPD modules to enhance your employability skills.
This course is delivered online by award-winning training provider LMP Education.
You must have a line manager, supervisor or qualified person to carry out written formal testimonies.
Upon completion, you will gain a Level 4 Certificate in Higher Level Teaching Assistant RQF from the awarding body TQUK.
This qualification will enable you to take on roles such as Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant, Specialist Support Assistant, and Support for Specialist Curriculum Areas.
The course is delivered remotely via LMP Education.
